Every morning we consider the safety of our children, and the issue of preparation for emergencies has become exceedingly relevant. To enhance pupils’ awareness and test schools’ readiness, a demonstration civil defence day was held at Novoyavorivsk General Education School No. 3.
During the event, pupils learned how to provide first aid and how to act in case of danger. A training evacuation simulating a fire scenario was conducted, and rescuers demonstrated skills in mitigating aftermaths and providing assistance.
Volodymyr Hirka, the school principal, emphasised the importance of such drills in developing safety skills. Mayor Volodymyr Matselyukh highlighted the importance of being prepared for potential challenges, hoping that this knowledge remains merely theoretical.
The pupils were introduced to modern technical equipment, such as drones and robotic complexes. Civil defence relays were organised in the sports hall for senior pupils.
