A resident of Lviv Oblast, who was trying to move a batch of undeclared gadgets across the border, was caught by border guards together with customs officials at the Sheghini checkpoint.
The Opel passenger car followed the entry from Poland yesterday afternoon. When entering the territory of the checkpoint, the driver chose the “green corridor” traffic lane, which indicated the absence of goods for mandatory declaration. Based on the analysis and risk assessment, the car was sent for additional inspection.
During a joint inspection with operatives and customs officers, the border guard found more than 40 units of undeclared gadgets. A 34-year-old woman tried to move APPLE laptops and headphones behind the decorative panels and in the structural cavities of the car.
According to this fact, the customs officials drew up a report. The goods were removed according to the established procedure, their estimated value is almost 300 thousand UAH.
