
As of 08:00 on August 04, 2025, changes in water levels are observed on the rivers of the Lviv region.
Over the past day, certain rivers in the Dniester basin and in the upper reaches of the Strv’yazh have seen a rise in water levels by 2 – 14 cm, while on the other rivers, a decline in water levels up to 3 cm was observed. In the plains rivers of the Western Bug basin and in the upper reaches of the Styr, a decline in water levels continued by 2 – 10 cm per day.
Water levels in certain sections of the rivers in the Dniester basin continue to approach their long-term minimum values (HP r. Dniester – village Strylky, r. Stryi – village Matkiv). The water temperature in the mountain tributaries of the Dniester was 12.0 – 17.0°, and in the rest of the region’s rivers – 18.0 – 22.0°.
Consultation on changing the hydrological situation on the rivers of the Lviv region: over the next day, a decline in water levels will prevail on most rivers of the region; however, in the second half of the day on August 04, due to expected precipitation, rapid rises in water levels of 0.1 – 0.5 m above the current levels within the riverbeds are possible on certain tributaries of the Dniester.
