In the Sambir district, rescuers successfully extinguished a fire in a residential building.
On January 17 at 09:41, the Rescue Service received a report about a fire in the village of Yazy. The fire broke out in a two-story wooden house covered with sheet metal. The fire engulfed the wooden ceiling over an area of about 20 square meters. Thanks to the prompt actions of firefighters, two buildings were saved.
The fire was localized at 10:11 and extinguished at 10:23. The extinguishing was carried out by a team of the gas and smoke protection service. Six rescuers and two units of firefighting equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. No one was injured in the incident.
Rescuers urge citizens to adhere to fire safety rules in the home, not to overload electrical networks, and to be especially careful when using heating appliances. Remember: it is easier to prevent fires than to eliminate their consequences.
