During January 10 – 14, changes in the hydrological situation are expected.
Due to the sharp drop in air temperature, on the open river areas of the Dniester basin (Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia regions), in the Dniester at the section Galich – beginning of the Dniester reservoir; Sian, Western Bug (Lviv, Volyn regions), intensive formation of shuga and ice cover establishment is expected.
At the same time, the formation of ice jams with sharp fluctuations in water levels is possible, without negative consequences.
