The Lviv OVA sent a letter of appeal to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Office of the President and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, so that citizens of Ukraine who are owners of passport booklets should not be required to duplicate their personal data with the “adverb” of the aggressor on the back when pasting a new photo card or making paper passport.
This was announced by the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi.
“The Russian language should not be in the passports of Ukrainians! For 9 years now, pocia has encroached on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our state. A full-scale war has been going on for 15 months. The best sons and daughters of Ukraine are dying. Children die. Our cities and villages are under fire. And in the passports of Ukrainians there is still duplication of information in the language of the aggressor. This issue cannot be postponed any longer,” said Maksym Kozytskyi.
The head of the region expressed hope for support both from other regions and at the state level.
