On New Year’s Eve, December 31, firefighters from the city of Rava-Ruska and local firefighters from the village of Hiyche faced a significant fire threat on Ivan Franko Street in the Lviv District. A wooden-brick structure, covered with metal sheets and measuring 12×5 meters, became the epicenter of the emergency.
The firefighting team responded promptly to the situation, arriving on site after part of the roof and wooden structures had caught fire. Thanks to their considerable skill and coordinated actions, the firefighters successfully contained the flames by 10:53 AM and fully extinguished them by 11:32 AM.
Their swift and coordinated efforts helped save three outbuildings and one residential house that could have been destroyed by the fire. Three rescuers from the State Emergency Service and two local firefighters were involved in tackling the blaze, with each department deploying one piece of special equipment.
