With this invention, they took third place at the European Gen E Festival.
The Feel Touch team from Novoyavoriv Higher Vocational School won bronze at the Gen E European Youth Entrepreneurship Festival in Italy. The students competed against 40 other projects from across Europe.
The team has developed an innovative device that helps people with disabilities operate gadgets. It is a device for people who have injuries or paralysis in their hands or have lost their upper limbs. It allows them to use phones, TVs, tablets and laptops without a solid surface underneath. It is controlled by movement in space. This development is a real breakthrough in the field of assistive technologies.
Students Roman Khomik (CEO of the team), Oleksandr Tarasiuk (CFO), Liubov Sloboda (Production Director), Khrystyna Paliukh (Marketing Director), and Veronika Khimyak (Sales Director) were students of the Company course from Junior Achievement Ukraine and later became participants in the Business Skills for Economic Growth project from JA Ukraine and #Skills4Recovery. They won the National Youth Entrepreneurship Competition and thus got the opportunity to represent Ukraine at the Gen E European Youth Entrepreneurship Festival in Italy.
“The third place of the Ukrainian team is an incredible result. In fact, it has never happened before that a country that has been working in the Junior Achievement network for only two years has already won a prize,” said Andriy Turak, JA Ukraine Development Director.
