In Chervonohrad, with the financial support of the European Charity Fund UNFPA and the Charity Fund “Butterfly”, it is planned to create a Day Care Center for victims of domestic violence, which will become a subdivision of the Center for Social Services.

The premises will be renovated, it will be properly furnished, equipped with the necessary equipment. According to Volodymyr Koval, deputy mayor of Chervonograd, the center will work around the clock. It will have a crisis room with 4-6 beds, facilities for cooking, a bathroom, and a shower. There will also be a large children’s playroom.

A psychologist, a social worker and administrators will work in the center.

According to statistics, in the first quarter of 2023, 93 appeals from citizens who experienced domestic violence were registered in the Chervonograd community. They were directed to the Center for providing free secondary legal assistance to provide them with the necessary professional legal assistance and support. This work will continue.

According to Volodymyr Koval, the newly created center will be the first such unit in the north of Lviv region and will become an important link, a center that will help solve life problems for many people who need help. They plan to open it in a month or a half.
