On January 4, at 00:12, the Rescue Service “101” received a report about a fire in the city of Chervonograd on the street. Bandera, Chervonohrad district. The fire broke out in an apartment on the third floor of a five-story residential building.
Rescuers of the 33rd state fire and rescue unit of Chervonograd went to the place of the call.
When the firefighters arrived at the scene of the call, tongues of flame were shooting out of the windows of the apartment on the third floor, and the entire apartment was engulfed in flames. Due to the heavy smoke that arose as a result of the fire, not all residents were able to go outside on their own, so the rescuers put on special respiratory and vision protection devices and started rescuing people and carrying out work to eliminate the fire.
In total, the rescuers brought 9 people out of the smoky apartments into the fresh air, including 2 children.
At 00:43, firefighters localized the fire and extinguished it at 01:13. As a result of the fire, the fire destroyed household items on an area of 45 square meters, damaged walls on an area of 30 square meters, a ceiling on an area of 20 square meters, and a floor on an area of 30 square meters.
