In the village. Duliby of Grabovets-Dulibiv community planted hazelnut garden within the framework of the Victory Gardens project
The initiator of the idea and its implementation was the parish priest Fr. Oleg Kobel, who heads the Ecology Bureau of the Stryi Eparchy of the UGCC. The action was timed to coincide with the World Environment Day. In addition to adults, local youth from the Phoenix Swarm joined the good cause.
“Together we planted 50 hazelnut seedlings! We hope that these trees will grow into a beautiful garden, will bear good fruit and bring us closer to Victory, ”Fr. Oleg Kobel.
Victory Gardens is an all-Ukrainian campaign aimed at the efficient use of available land and directing all resources for food production to prevent the food crisis in Ukraine.
The tradition of planting Victory Gardens dates back to World War I and World War II, when vegetable, fruit, herb or vegetable gardens were planted in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
