On Sunday, 9 August, part of Lviv’s public transport network will temporarily operate differently due to electrical equipment repairs. From 03:00 to 10:00, specialists from “Lvivoblenergo” will carry out works during which transformer substation No. 13 will be completely switched off.
According to the Transport Department of Lviv City Council, substation No. 13 supplies the tram lines in the area of Stus, Uhorska and Sventsitskoho streets. During the power outage, trams on route No. 8 will not operate. Once the power supply is restored, they will return to their usual route.
Tram route No. 4 will operate a shortened service until 10:00: “Zaliznychnyi vokzal — Vitovskoho St — Doroshenka St — Zaliznychnyi vokzal”. After the works are completed and the power supply restored, full service on this route will resume.
To maintain transport connections during the repair works, bus route No. 8t “Halytska Square — Vernadskoho” will be introduced, mirroring tram route No. 8. In addition, the operation of bus route No. 53 will be strengthened — on Sunday it will run according to the Saturday timetable.
