This morning at 06:53, emergency services received a report of a fire in a three-story brick residential building on Kobylytsi Street in Lviv. The fire broke out in the semi-basement, causing heavy smoke to spread rapidly throughout the building.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, thick smoke was billowing from the windows. They donned special respiratory and vision protection gear and began extinguishing the fire and rescuing residents. Due to the intense smoke, a couple living in the building was unable to evacuate on their own.
Firefighters managed to bring the 73-year-old man and his 68-year-old wife to safety, handing them over to medical personnel. After being examined, the couple declined hospitalization.
