On 7th April, Lviv is expected to face unusual weather conditions that could impact residents’ safety. The weather forecast from the Lviv Regional Centre for Hydrometeorology indicates north-westerly wind gusts at speeds of 15-20 m/s. Frosts on the ground surface are expected at night and in the morning, reaching as low as -2°; ice patches may form in certain areas of roads.
The city authorities urge citizens to remain vigilant and take precautionary measures during adverse weather. Due to strong winds, it is advised to avoid proximity to large trees, power lines, aerials, and billboards that could pose a danger.
Drivers are advised to choose a safe speed and maintain distance between vehicles, using headlights. Pedestrians are encouraged to cross roads only at designated pedestrian crossings and wear shoes with non-slip soles.
In unforeseen circumstances, residents are asked to contact the city’s “Hotline” at 15-80 or use alternative communication channels such as the Facebook group “Hotline 1580”, the mobile app “Lviv 1580” or the portal 1580.lviv.ua.
