The entrance to the underground pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Horodotska and Vyhovskoho streets in Lviv has been closed for the purpose of repairs. Currently, there are plans to dismantle the old, hazardous stairs, with the concreting of new ones set to commence next week.
Ihor Savka, head of the Railway District Administration, reported that plans include the installation of an above-ground pedestrian crossing with a safety island and traffic light control. These works will begin after the road resurfacing on Horodotska Street from the former motorcycle factory to Sknylivskyi Bridge is completed.
Additionally, it was noted that Horodotska Street is a vital arterial road scheduled for repair this year, with deferred payment. The works aim to improve convenience and safety for residents.
