On December 31 at 6:23 PM, emergency services received a report of a fire on Kulparkivska Street in Lviv. The fire started under the balcony of a first-floor apartment in a nine-story residential building and spread to the balconies of apartments on the first and second floors.
Due to heavy smoke, firefighters had to use respiratory protection equipment. Several residents could not leave the smoke-filled premises independently. Rescuers evacuated 4 people using rescue devices, while another 4 were guided to safety without specialized equipment.
