The Rubber City team invites architects, designers and everyone who has experience in designing furniture, interiors, or simply arranging their home to a workshop. The event will be held in Lviv from July 28 to 31.
The participants will work on a set of furniture for the shelter in Veliki Hrybovychy, which is arranged by the department of the urban agglomeration of the LMR and KU Institute of the city. The families of military personnel defending Ukraine from the Russian occupier will live here.
“Many Ukrainians were forced to leave their homes, become more mobile and ready for numerous relocations. The Rubber City project continues to seek solutions that create a sense of home in temporary shelters.
At the workshop, participants will create designer furniture that can be easily assembled and disassembled and that can be compactly packed and easily transported from home to home, recreating their coziness in a new space,” the organizers said.

The location will be communicated to the selected participants in a personal correspondence after July 22. The workshop is implemented within the framework of the project “Integrated development of cities in Ukraine II” of the federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ GmbH with funding from the Governments of Germany and Switzerland.
