In Lviv, from 1 September, traffic has resumed on Kubiiyovycha Street, where road surface repair works had been under way since mid-July.
The Halytskyi District Administration reported that the main works on the carriageway have already been completed, so the street is once again open to traffic. The road surface on the section has been levelled and re-laid with cobblestones, using the existing material.
«The main works on the carriageway of Kubiiyovycha Street have been completed, so as of today, 1 September, the street is open to traffic. At the same time, improvement works will continue. We will partially refurbish the pavement and have also provided parking spaces for cars belonging to people with disabilities. We plan to complete these works by around 15 September,» the Halytskyi District Administration reported.
Repairs on Kubiiyovycha Street began on 13 July on the stretch from Snopkivska Street to Vyshyvanoho Square. For the duration of the works, this section, approximately 180 metres long, was completely closed to traffic.
Improvement works are still ongoing on the street: pavements are being partially refurbished and special parking spaces for cars belonging to people with disabilities are being prepared. These works are expected to be completed by around 15 September.
