An aerial bomb from the Second World War was discovered during landscaping works on the grounds of the first school in Zhovkva. This came as a surprise to the workers, who immediately reported the find.
The school administration promptly called emergency services and the police to the scene. All students and staff were immediately evacuated to ensure their safety.
The relevant services removed the ordnance for disposal and conducted an additional inspection of the school grounds for other dangerous items.
