On December 3 at 00:44, rescuers received a message that a man born in 2004, a resident of Chervonograd, was hospitalized in the intensive care unit with a diagnosis of hypothermia.

The condition of the victim is serious. This was reported to the State Emergency Service of Lviv region.

The head office of the State Emergency Service in the Lviv region reminds citizens of the basic safety rules when staying outdoors during frost. There are several simple rules, the implementation of which will allow you to avoid hypothermia and frostbite in severe cold:

• do not drink alcoholic beverages – alcohol promotes the expansion of blood vessels and leads to heat loss, which in turn causes rapid freezing;
• do not smoke in the cold – smoking reduces peripheral blood circulation and makes the limbs more vulnerable to cold;
• dress so that there is an air layer between the layers of clothing, which retains heat, wear loose clothing;
• wear comfortable, warm shoes that will not crush the leg;
• do not go out into the cold without gloves and a scarf.

Keep yourselves!
