Today, military veteran Oleg Teliegin went on a hunger strike near the city council

According to Ihor, his first demand is that the mayor, Serhiy Kasyan, should write a letter of resignation.
Oleg also hopes that the military and not only the military, but also ordinary people from Sokal will come and support Oleg, because Oleg says he is running out of patience.
It should be noted that the day before, the Sokal City Council held a session, where local deputies argued heatedly about the distribution of excess tax revenues.
Subsequently, the Sokal City Council provided an explanation of the events that took place before and during the session:
In connection with the dissemination of deliberately false information by certain “public activists” regarding budget decisions made at an extraordinary session, the Sokal City Council informs:
– UAH 4 million 750 thousand was allocated to provide military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (purchase of UAVs, trench electronic warfare systems, quadcopters, components for unmanned aerial vehicles, purchase of FPV drones) and UAH 300 thousand for the KORD special unit, which performs tasks in the combat zone. These funds were provided for in the draft decision of the city council, and were also allocated by reducing expenditures in the amount of UAH 2 million 080 thousand from the payroll of the Sokal City Council.
Since the beginning of 2024, the Sokal City Council has allocated UAH 17 million 740 thousand for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is UAH 2.5 million more than in 12 months of 2023.
As for the salaries of city council employees, we would like to inform you that among 73 communities in the Lviv Oblast, Sokal City Council ranks 68th in terms of expenditures on the administrative apparatus.
We demand that the authors of the fakes refute the false information!
