Since the beginning of the year, patrol policemen have issued more than 33,000 tickets for speeding
This was reported by the Patrol Police of the Lviv region.
In the first 6 months of 2024, police officers in the Lviv region documented 318 road accidents with victims caused by drivers’ failure to comply with the speed limit. In these accidents, 460 people were injured and, unfortunately, 44 people died.
Speed continues to be ranked as an anti-leader among the causes of road accidents with injuries.
We continue to record speeding violations using the TruCAM laser speed meter in hazardous areas and places of concentration of road accidents with serious consequences. During this period, patrol policemen issued 33,151 tickets against speeders.
