Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale armed invasion of Ukraine, Lviv psychologists and psychotherapists have been helping Ukrainians. During this time, more than 700 psychological consultations were provided at the Mezhdy Center for Social Services alone.
“Every day we receive calls from all over Ukraine asking for psychological support, especially during sirens or bombings. However, not all people need full psychological counseling – some just need to be heard so that they can speak out. At present, it is difficult to be alone, people have a feeling of loneliness. That is why it is very important to have someone to tell about your experiences, ”the Lviv center of social services“ Between Us ”notes.
During the war, the center’s specialists also organized more than 20 individual and group consultations and conducted training for psychological first aid volunteers. At the same time, almost 300 children received trainings on self-regulation, where they learned techniques for relieving tension and stress.
Experts emphasize that now it is very important for everyone to have someone around and “return” to the current state, and just give the feeling that we are not alone.
It will be recalled that Lviv has a 24-hour line of psychological support for all who need it. This help is provided by the specialists of the “Between Us” center. Psychological help can be obtained by calling 0800307305. Calls from the numbers of any operators are free.
