Due to careless handling of fire in open areas, 16 dry grass fires were recorded over the past day. The fire destroyed more than 4 hectares of dead wood and all living things along with it.
Firefighters extinguished fires in open areas in Drohobych, Lviv and Sambir districts.
A total of 62 rescuers and 16 units of special equipment were engaged in the firefighting operations.
“Dear residents of Lviv region, in such a difficult time under martial law, it is a crime to deliberately destroy your land by burning dead wood. It is a crime against yourself, your children and your country.
The task of each of us is to protect our land, where we live today and where our children will live.
The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region once again reminds of the PROHIBITION of dry grass burning.
Setting fire to dry grass is punishable by law in the form of a fine:
