The funds for the purchase were raised during a charity auction and thanks to the student youth of the Lviv region.
Today, January 22, another 432 unmanned aerial vehicles will go from Lviv Oblast to forward positions for our servicemen. Defenders will receive these drones within the framework of the “Birds of Victory” initiative.
The Lviv 24th Brigade named after King Danylo and the 80th ODSHBr will receive the drones. As well as the 77th and 3rd storm brigades, the 95th ODSHBr, the 10th separate mountain assault brigade “Edelweiss”, separate 67th, 24th and 420th battalions, fighters of the Foreign Legion, special units of the GUR, SBU, SSO, and the Ground Forces Command.

To protect the most precious lives of our people and dispose of the waste that came to our land to kill. Let’s continue!”, – urged the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi.
Such a number of drones was purchased thanks to the funds collected during the charity auction “Million for Drones”, which took place in Lviv at the end of December. At the same time, the participants of the auction made contributions for 7 million hryvnias. This amount became a record for the project organizers.
Student youth from various higher educational institutions of the region also joined the gathering. Thanks to their performances, 16 participants of the Christmas nativity scene collected 105 thousand hryvnias. These funds turned into 6 FPV drones for 24 OMBr named after King Danylo.
“Every woman or man who currently lives in Ukraine and is not in the ranks of the Armed Forces should understand that collecting and donating in support of our defenses should be their normal routine. Every morning we should wake up with the thought that it is our duty to support defenders. For every meter of our land that they choose. For their courage,” says UCU student Danylo Zaverukha.

We will remind that the “Birds of Victory” project was launched in March 2023. During this time, it was possible to collect funds and transfer 3174 drones to the front, including today’s batch.
