School buses were purchased at the expense of the co-financing of the educational subvention from the state budget, the regional budget and the funds of territorial communities.
Today, March 20, Lviv OVA handed over another batch of “Shkolaryk” buses for communities. Oleksandr Kulepin, deputy head of the Lviv OVA, handed the keys and documents to community leaders.
“Scholars” were awarded to Glynyansk, Pustomytivsk, Novokalynivsk, Dobromylsk, Zhydachivsk, Morshinsk, Slavsk, Dobrotvirsk, Sokalsk territorial communities.
We will remind that part of the community’s old buses were given to the needs of the Armed Forces, while another part needs to be replaced due to a long service life.
In total, Lviv region purchased 126 buses (8 of them are specialized, that is, adapted to the needs of children with disabilities). Including today’s, 94 buses have already been handed over. The cost of one bus is UAH 2.5 million.
The purchase of buses became possible thanks to the initiative of the Lviv OVA: last year, the Lviv region proposed a project to co-finance the purchase of “Shkolyariky” in cooperation with community budgets. At the request of Lviv OVA, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine amended Resolution No. 590, which allowed the allocation of funds. The community received the first 20 buses in October last year.
Most of the components for buses were manufactured by one of the leading Ukrainian bus-building enterprises.
