Ihor Dusan, a 25-year-old educational organizer and homeroom teacher at the ‘Halytskyi’ Lyceum, became one of the three winners of the city’s ‘Lviv Educational Award’ contest.
His story is unique because he is not only a talented and dedicated teacher but also a veteran of the Russo-Ukrainian War. Ihor finds a way to combine these two important roles in his everyday life. ‘Combining military service and teaching helps me be more sensitive to the needs of students,’ Ihor notes.
The values he strives to impart to his students are based on experiences gained both on the battlefield and in the classroom. He emphasizes the importance of responsibility and mutual respect. For him, the key lessons are teaching children resilience and cooperation.
