Krasne Hub School No. 1 to receive a hybrid solar power plant

Krasne Hub General Secondary Education Institution I–III Degrees No. 1 will receive a hybrid solar power plant. UAH 3 million has been allocated for the implementation of the project, of which UAH 2.4 million is a state subvention, and a further UAH 600,000 is being provided by Krasne Settlement Council as co-financing.

As part of the allocation of state funds to strengthen the energy resilience of educational institutions, a total of 12 schools in Lviv region will receive UAH 22.7 million. The relevant order was signed by Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozytskyi.

Applications for funding were considered by a special regional working group. Krasne Settlement Council, together with the Department of Education, Culture, Tourism Development, Youth and Sports, submitted the project “Major overhaul of the power supply network with installation of a hybrid solar power plant on the building of Krasne General Secondary Education Hub Institution I–III Degrees No. 1”, which successfully passed the selection.

The funds will be directed towards the purchase, delivery, installation and connection of equipment. The project provides for the installation of solar panels, inverter equipment, battery systems and other necessary components to ensure backup power for the school building.

The new system is expected to make the institution less dependent on external power supply and allow the educational process to continue during possible power outages, especially in the autumn-winter period, when the load on the power system increases and emergency or scheduled blackouts are possible.

In addition to providing a backup source of electricity, in-house generation and storage of power should help the school gradually reduce its electricity costs and use energy resources more efficiently. For the community, this is seen as a long-term investment in the educational institution’s energy infrastructure.

On 22 July 2026, the executive committee of Krasne Settlement Council adopted a decision granting permission for the preparation of design and cost estimate documentation for this project. The works are preliminarily scheduled for completion by 15 November 2026.

Once the project is implemented, Krasne Hub Education Institution No. 1 is expected to receive a modern power supply system that will support the stable operation of the school even in the event of possible power interruptions.
