Lviv region will receive UAH 138.6 million in state subvention to upgrade workshops, laboratories and classrooms in colleges and vocational education institutions in the region. The funds will be used to purchase modern equipment and modernise the educational environment.
Funding is envisaged for 13 educational institutions in Lviv region: Lviv Regional Medical Professional College, Novoyavorivsk Higher Vocational School, Halych Agritechnical College, Lviv Professional College of Decorative and Applied Arts named after Ivan Trush, Higher Vocational School No. 29 in Lviv, Drohobych Professional College of Oil and Gas, Higher Vocational School No. 71 in Kamianka-Buzka, Lviv Professional College of Construction, Architecture and Design, Medenychi Agrarian and Technological Vocational College, Sambir Professional College of Economics and Information Technologies, Lviv Vocational College of Services and Printing, Rava-Ruska Vocational Lyceum and Sheptytskyi Vocational College of Energy and Technology.
These institutions train medical workers, energy specialists, construction workers, agricultural specialists, car mechanics, cooks, IT specialists, agrodrone operators and other professionals who are in demand on today's labour market.
The modernisation will take place within the framework of the state project “100 Workshops”, aimed at providing vocational and professional colleges with modern equipment and updating learning spaces. The project is being implemented thanks to the European Union's financial support programme for Ukraine, the Ukraine Facility Plan.
The announcement stresses that the quality of the equipment on which students are trained directly affects their readiness for their first job. It also expresses gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and international partners for investing in the development of vocational education in Lviv region.
