On 20 October, during the fourth plenary meeting of the XXVIII extraordinary session of the Lviv Regional Council, councillors approved amendments to the plan for establishing a network of specialised lyceums in Lviv Region.
The update concerns the organisation of the lyceum network in the Lviv, Zolochiv and Mykolaiv urban, as well as the Velykyi Liubin and Trostianets rural territorial communities. The relevant adjustments were made to the Regional Council decision of 9 July 2026 No. 744 “On approval of the plan for establishing a network of specialised lyceums in Lviv Region”.
The Lviv Regional Council recalls that on 9 July, during the second plenary meeting of the same XXVIII extraordinary session, councillors had already supported changes to the plan for establishing a network of specialised lyceums. At that time, they concerned the Turka urban, Kozova rural, Mykolaiv, Drohobych, Boryslav and Mostyska territorial communities.
The need to adjust the plan is explained by appeals from territorial communities and the need to update the network of educational institutions in line with the requirements of current legislation and the education reform.
