The agreement was initiated during a meeting of college students with representatives of state institutions of the region.
On the occasion of the World Day of Water Resources and the World Day of Forests, a meeting of students with representatives of state institutions of the region was held in the Lviv Vocational College of LNUP within the framework of the week of the cycle commission of ecological direction and chemical and biological disciplines.
The event was attended by the head of the Department of Natural Resources Protection of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv Oblast, Volodymyr Diyak, the head of the Department of Regulation of Nature Use and Approval of Activities of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources, Dmytro Kozlinskyi, and the head of the Basin Council of the Basin Management of Water Resources of the Western Bug and Syan Rivers, Roman Tutskyi.
“I believe that such meetings will only contribute to the preservation of nature and increasing the ecological awareness of the population, because students are one of the driving forces of our state, because they will be the basis for the recovery of the country after the full-scale invasion of Russia,” Volodymyr Diyak emphasized.
During the meeting, the students got acquainted with the peculiarities of work in the field of water and forestry in the region, learned about the peculiarities of protection and rational use of water resources and natural biodiversity, in particular, about the work of environmental protection institutions of the region and the creation of objects of the nature reserve fund.
The result of the meeting was the signing of an agreement on cooperation between the Lviv Vocational College of the LNUP and the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Regional State Administration and the Basin Management of Water Resources of the Western Bug and Syan Rivers.
