
The portal “Osvita.ua” has published its annual nationwide school ranking based on the results of the National Multi-Subject Test. According to the 2026 NMT results, the Lviv Scientific Lyceum “Yevshan” took first place in Ukraine, and two more Lviv educational institutions made it into the top five. In total, 25 Lviv schools entered the top 200.
Andrii Zakaliuk, Director of the Department of Education and Culture of the Lviv City Council, noted that Lviv traditionally demonstrates high results, and that most of the institutions in the ranking are the city’s municipal schools, now joined by private ones as well. He thanked pupils, teachers and parents for their work and stressed that the city would continue to support educational achievements.
The highest average score of graduates in the 2026 NMT was achieved by the Scientific Lyceum “Yevshan” — 175 points. Also in the top five of the ranking are the Lviv Physics and Mathematics Scientific Lyceum, which took 2nd place with an average score of 172.8, and the Lviv Academic Gymnasium, which came 4th with 172.3 points.
Among other Lviv institutions that made it into the top 200 are: the First Innovative Private Lviv Lyceum (16th place), the Classical Scientific Lyceum (24th), the Educational Complex “School-Gymnasium I–III degrees of Blessed Klymentii and Andrei Sheptytskyi” (48th), the Educational Complex “Engineering and Economics School — Lviv Economics Lyceum” (51st), Lyceum No. 81 named after Petro Sahaidachnyi (64th), the private Educational Complex “Kindergarten — School — Lyceum “Ekolend”” (72nd), the Lviv Linguistic Gymnasium of the Lviv City Council (81st), Lyceum No. 52 (84th), the Lviv Gymnasium “Prestige” with advanced study of foreign languages (87th), the Lyceum named after Vasyl Symonenko of the Lviv City Council (89th), the Lviv Law Gymnasium (93rd), the Lyceum “Lvivskyi” (104th), Secondary School No. 32 (106th), Lyceum No. 8 (107th), Lyceum No. 28 of the Lviv City Council (108th), the Lyceum “Nadiia” (128th), the private general secondary education institution Lyceum “IT Step School Lviv” (132nd), the Lyceum of International Relations named after V. Stus of the Lviv City Council (138th), Lyceum No. 5 named after Ivanna and Illia Kokorudz of the Lviv City Council (162nd), the Lviv Ukrainian Humanities Gymnasium named after Olena Stepaniv with advanced study of Ukrainian Studies and English (168th), Lyceum No. 37 of the Lviv City Council (194th) and Lyceum No. 46 named after Viacheslav Chornovil of the Lviv City Council (200th).
The City Council emphasises that the strong representation of Lviv schools in the nationwide ranking testifies to the city’s consistently strong position in the field of general secondary education.
