
The municipal institution of the Lviv Regional Council “Lviv Regional Medical Vocational College” has been included in the list of winners of the state project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine “100 Workshops”. Thanks to this, a modern educational and practical clinical simulation centre will be created at the college.
To implement the project, the institution will receive a state subvention of UAH 16.1 million. Co-financing from the regional budget and the college’s special fund is also envisaged.
The new centre will provide training and professional development for specialists in the educational fields of “Nursing”, “Pharmacy”, and “Emergency Medical Technician”. It will also deliver continuing professional development programmes for junior specialists with medical and pharmaceutical education.
On the basis of the centre, training in pre-medical and emergency care under the international BLS, PBLS and Stop the Bleed programmes is planned for healthcare workers, combat medics, veterans, volunteers, representatives of emergency services and anyone interested.
The “100 Workshops” project is being implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine within the framework of the European Union’s financial support programme for Ukraine, the Ukraine Facility Plan. This year, more than UAH 860 million has been allocated from the state budget for the creation of 100 modern workshops, laboratories and classrooms. Over the previous two years, within this initiative, UAH 1 billion was invested in upgrading 200 workshops in colleges across the country.
