By the end of this year, a further 10 modern youth centres are expected to open in Lviv region. This concerns both the creation of new spaces for young people and the modernisation of existing infrastructure.
On 25 September, an online working meeting was held with the heads of territorial communities in Lviv region, dedicated to the implementation of the relevant projects. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, the regional youth centre and the communities that won the competitive selection.
«For us, it is important not just to allocate funds for the creation or renovation of youth spaces, but to ensure they are genuinely operational and useful for young people. That is why, at this stage, it is vital to work together with the communities through all organisational and financial issues, to set clear implementation deadlines and to avoid delays in the process. Every community must understand its next steps, while the region must provide the necessary coordination and support», said Deputy Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Ivan Sobko.
During the meeting, the next steps for the communities were agreed: the sequence of project implementation, financial aspects, indicative timelines for works and procurement, as well as possible dates for the disbursement of funds and the opening of the youth spaces.
Following the competitive selection, 10 territorial communities in Lviv region will receive co-financing for project implementation: Bibrka, Pustomyty, Trostianets, Zhydachiv, Biskovychi, Hrabovets-Duliby, Hnizdychiv, Novyi Yarychiv, Dobrotvir and Dobromyl.
The process is coordinated by the Department of Sport, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration and the Lviv Regional Youth Centre.
