In Lviv region, a decision has been made to purchase another flat for orphans and young people from among them. The relevant proposal was supported at a meeting of the commission on providing housing for orphans, children deprived of parental care, and young people from among them in Lviv region.
The housing is to be purchased in the Rudky territorial community. It concerns a flat in good condition, equipped with the necessary furniture and household appliances and suitable for comfortable living.
For the purchase of this flat, UAH 1,171,000 has been allocated from the regional budget and UAH 293,108 from the local budget.
During the meeting, members of the commission separately stressed that when selecting housing purchased with budget funds, they take into account not only its cost. The main criteria are quality, safety and compliance with conditions for long-term residence. The location is also important: the housing should be close to educational institutions, medical facilities, shops and other social infrastructure, and have convenient transport links.
Head of the Children’s Services of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Lys, reported that in 2026 more than UAH 5 million is envisaged in Lviv region for the implementation of the Regional Programme for Providing Housing for Orphans, Children Deprived of Parental Care, and Young People from Among Them.
