A new sports ground will soon appear in the park near Gymnasium No. 2, which will become a place for training and active leisure.
This project is being implemented thanks to the International Charity Organization “HelpAge International” as part of the initiative “Community Leisure Center”. “For two and a half years now, our organization has been supporting displaced persons – elderly people who were forced to leave their homes and settle in Sheptytsky,” said project specialist Olena Rybalkina. She added that within the initiative, psycho-emotional support is provided, master classes, Nordic walking classes, and excursions are conducted.
The idea to install a sports ground was conceived by an initiative group of displaced persons. The location was agreed with the city council, and “HelpAge International” supported this idea and financed the purchasing and installation of the equipment. According to Olena, 9 modern sports simulators and comfortable benches will be installed in the park. Today, craftsmen poured the foundation for the playground, and the installation of the structures will begin next week.
