On 9 March, the Lviv Regional Council hosted an educational visit by Year 9 pupils from Hrabovetsko-Dulibivska hromada — schoolchildren from the villages of Duliby and Konyukhiv. The event was organised as a hands-on introduction to the work of the highest representative body in Lviv Oblast.
The guests were told about the activities of the regional council by Iryna Khoroshykh, Head of the Department of Organisational Work and Interaction with Local Self-Government Bodies, and Solomiia Loginska, Director of the Lviv Regional Youth Centre.
The highlight of the visit was a simulated session of the regional council: the pupils took seats in the deputies’ places in the chamber, discussed agenda items and cast votes — just as real deputies do.
«When pupils can see this in practice — sit in the deputies’ chairs, cast a vote, and take in the atmosphere of the chamber — it is an entirely different experience» — Solomiia Loginska.
