Lviv schools are prepared for possible power outages by equipping themselves with generators.
Since schools are not classified as critical infrastructure, they are also subject to power outage schedules. Despite this, the educational process will not halt due to the prepared autonomous power sources. Currently, 1047 schools in the region have 1267 generators with the necessary fuel supply at their disposal. An additional 250 units of equipment are ensuring the operation of 78 regional institutions, including educational and rehabilitation centers and specialized lyceums.
Furthermore, the education network is gradually implementing energy-independent solutions: eight institutions have already been equipped with solar panels. Additionally, a significant number of schools use solid fuel boilers or other heating systems, which allow maintaining warmth regardless of centralized networks.
