Stryi City Council takes out 40 million UAH loan to refurbish two lyceums

Stryi City Council has taken out a loan of 40 million UAH from Ukrgasbank to carry out major refurbishment of two lyceums in the community. The funds will be used to create comfortable and safe learning conditions for pupils. This was reported by Stryi City Council.

The financing is intended for the renovation of the premises of Stryi Lyceum named after Hero of Ukraine Andriy Korchak and Stryi Lyceum “Gymnasium named after Andrey Sheptytskyi”. The works cover the interior premises of the first and second floors of both institutions.

The refurbishment works are ongoing throughout the summer, and part of them is planned to be completed before the start of the new academic year. Mayor Oleh Kanivets, together with representatives of the city council, has already inspected the first results of the upgrades.

The city council recalled that last year the third floors of these two lyceums underwent major refurbishment and laboratories were set up using a state grant and local budget funds. The loan received is planned to be repaid ahead of schedule.
