Half of secondary education institutions feed schoolchildren on the basis of their own food blocks.
Unfortunately, only about 9% of schools in the region have modern canteens. This was announced by the head of LOVA Maksym Kozytskyi.
There is still a lot of work to be done, but I can already report that we have planned many positive changes for next year. In particular, it is about the modernization of kitchens and dining rooms, improving the qualifications of cooks and forming a culture of healthy eating among students.
This was discussed during today’s meeting chaired by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and First Lady Olena Zelenska.
Thank you to the team of the First Lady, who in 2020 initiated the reform of school meals in Ukraine, and consistently oversees it throughout this time.
