A ceremonial dedication of students took place at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

The event was attended by members of the Academic Council, representatives of student organizations, city and regional authorities, deputies of the Lviv Regional Council, parents, and guests. Before the welcome speeches, all attendees sang the National Anthem of Ukraine and observed a minute of silence to honor the memory of the Defenders of Ukraine, as well as the teachers, students, and graduates of the University who died defending the freedom and dignity of the Ukrainian people during the Revolution of Dignity and in the fight against the Russian aggressor.

The rector of Lviv University, Professor and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Roman Hladyshchevskyi, emphasized that this is a deeply symbolic day for the entire academic community, as new students join it. For the first-year students, this day opens a new chapter in life, which will be crucial for personal growth and professional development.

On behalf of the leadership and the deputy corps of the Lviv Regional Council, students were congratulated by Yuriy Radelytsky, head of the commission on agro-industrial complex activities, entrepreneurship, and investments. “Thank you to the first-year students for choosing a Ukrainian educational institution for their studies, especially pleasing that it is my native Lviv University. I wish the students a successful education and peaceful Ukrainian skies. Always remember thanks to whom and at what cost education in a Ukrainian university, under the Ukrainian flag and in the Ukrainian language, is now possible,” noted Yuriy Radelytsky.
