A tender has been announced in Lviv for reconstruction works at the Oriyana Lyceum in Sykhiv, which was damaged during a missile strike on 29 December 2023. The Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) is inviting contracting organisations to take part.
The Oriyana Lyceum of Lviv City Council is located at 3 Chukarina Street. The city has already repaired the building after the attack, but the current project envisages a more extensive modernisation. The plan is to upgrade the heating and ventilation systems, carry out comprehensive thermal modernisation, install energy-efficient technologies and equip a modern shelter.
The project places particular emphasis on creating a safe and inclusive educational environment, in particular by improving the accessibility of the premises for children with disabilities. Almost 1,300 pupils are currently studying at the lyceum.
The reconstruction is funded by grant aid from the Government of Norway through the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) and NEFCO. The procurement is being carried out in accordance with NEFCO policies and procedures. A new tender notice has been issued after the previous procedure was cancelled for technical reasons.
The deadline for submitting tender bids is 16 July by 12:00 Kyiv time. Bids must be sent by email to nzeb-ua@ic-group.org. A preliminary online meeting for potential participants is scheduled for 24 June at 11:00 (Kyiv time).
During the strike on 29 December 2023, the lyceum building sustained significant damage: windows were blown out, and doors and walls were damaged. The current project aims not only to restore the school, but also to make it more energy-efficient and resilient to potential threats.
