In Lviv, 31 graduates of general secondary education institutions within the Lviv City Territorial Community will be recognised with cash awards for the highest results in the National Multi-Subject Test for the 2025–2026 academic year. The corresponding decision was adopted at a meeting of the executive committee.
According to the decision, 27 graduates who scored 400 points in the NMT will each receive 20,000 UAH from the city. A further three graduates who achieved 600 points will each be awarded 30,000 UAH.
Special recognition will go to Yurii Hashchuk, a graduate of Lviv Lyceum “Hrono”, who scored 800 points in the NMT — the maximum result across all four subjects. For this achievement, he will receive an award of 40,000 UAH. According to preliminary data, only two graduates in Ukraine have achieved such a result this year, and one of them is from Lviv.
“This is money from the city for gifted children. For some, it will help to buy books; for others, it will cover other essential learning materials. It is an investment in our young people and in the city’s future,” said Andrii Sadovyi.
The final nationwide results of the National Multi-Subject Test will be published after the completion of the additional NMT session. After that, Lviv will draw up the final list of graduates to be recognised with awards, and it will also become clear what place the community has taken among other communities in Ukraine based on this year’s test results.
The Lviv City Council continues to support pupils’ achievements. Earlier, 60 Lviv school students became winners of national Olympiads, nine of whom won in two competitions at once. All these pupils have already received 10,000 UAH each from the city.
In addition, under the Programme for Supporting Gifted Youth, 15 pupils and graduates of Lviv schools received 30,000 UAH each for outstanding intellectual achievements and active participation in community life. Among them are prize-winners of international and national stages of Olympiads and competitions, participants in quizzes and conferences, volunteers and representatives of student self-government.
