Free IT training for male and female veterans launches in Lviv

In Lviv, the “Academy for Heroes”, with the support of the Lviv Centre for Services for Combatants, is opening applications from male and female veterans for two free, hands-on IT programmes: Automation QA Engineer and Mobile Development. The training enables participants to master a new profession with no prior experience, improve their English, complete an internship at leading IT companies and subsequently find employment in the sector.

The Automation QA Engineer course covers working with the Python programming language, automated testing, web applications and APIs. Participants will study modern QA tools and create their own automated tests.

The Mobile Development track is aimed at those who want to learn how to develop mobile applications for iOS and Android. The programme includes working with JavaScript, TypeScript and React Native, as well as building a personal project portfolio.

Both programmes are designed with a strong focus on practice: participants will receive support from instructors, develop their English and soft skills, prepare their CVs and practise job interviews.

Classes will be held offline in Lviv at 3 Y. Petrushevych Square. The training schedule is planned for twice a week, with classes starting at 17:30. Each programme lasts 8 months, with training starting on 28 September 2026.

Participation is completely free of charge for male and female veterans. To take part in the selection process, applicants must complete a preliminary registration form, the link to which is provided by the organisers.
