A modern Children and Youth Development Center was opened in Lviv, on Poleva Street. Here, about 300 children from 4 to 18 years old will be able to get quality knowledge and develop their creative and intellectual potential for free. It is important that the new location of the Children’s Clubs of Lviv and the Department of Youth Policy of the LMR was created with grant funds, amounting to more than 230 thousand dollars.
The creation of the educational center took place thanks to the grant support of the Ukraine Children’s Action Project Charitable Fund, which attracted UAH 8.3 million (USD 231,500) for the implementation of this project. With these funds, the Children’s Clubs of the Lychakiv district carried out a major renovation of the premises with a total area of 207 square meters. m and outbuildings, bought all the necessary furniture, computer and audio equipment.
“Our charity project is aimed at helping children from all over the world who are in difficult life circumstances. And we are very glad that we met the Children’s Clubs of Lviv and together with them created such a wonderful space, so that even during the war, children had a safe place for entertainment and learning at the same time. Children are the future of the country, so it is very important that they have a truly fulfilling childhood, so we do everything possible to help them in this,” said Irvin Randler, MD, co-founder of the Ukraine Children’s Action Project.
The Center for the Development of Children and Youth in its activities aims to support children and adolescents who are currently in difficult family circumstances, or who have been forced to leave their homes and do not have adequate conditions for quality education, preparation for school or higher education institutions. The center is ready to reach about 300 children aged 4 to 18, so all children who currently live in Lviv and need help are invited to the classes.
The new children’s space was created to provide children and young people with the opportunity to receive high-quality education and develop their creative and intellectual potential.
“Today, we are opening another children’s club in the Lychakiv district of the city. For us, the issue of meaningful and useful leisure time for the children of Lviv and internally displaced persons is very important, so we are actively working on creating new spaces. We managed to attract the support of the Ukraine Children’s Action Project Charitable Fund, for which we are very grateful to our partners. We are doing everything possible so that even more children have free opportunities to develop their potential”, – emphasizes Rostyslav Yunyk, head of the youth policy department of Lviv.
The center will provide assistance in education and meaningful leisure time for children and adolescents in the following areas:
– Ukrainian language and literature;
– History of Ukraine;
– math;
– English;
– science of law;
– preparation for admission to art colleges (academic drawing, composition);
– academic drawing;
– drawing;
– preparation for school;
– sports circles;
– modern dances.
