Free meals for pupils have been launched in all schools of the Truskavets community. According to the community, the state provides funds for food for children, so all schoolchildren who wish to can take advantage of this opportunity.
At the same time, other expenses related to the organisation of catering are covered from the city budget. This includes the repair and maintenance of kitchen facilities, the purchase of equipment and tableware, as well as the payment of salaries to staff working in school canteens.
Meals for pupils are prepared according to recipes by Yevhen Klopotenko. Using the example of the community’s largest institution — NVK “SZS No.2-Gymnasium” in Truskavets, where 1,136 pupils study in 42 classes — they demonstrate how the catering process is organised during breaks.
The community emphasises that the introduction of free meals is aimed at ensuring that every child has access to hot and good-quality food during the school day.
