In September, 16 families in the Truskavets City Territorial Community submitted applications to receive a one-off targeted cash benefit from the city budget for the birth of a child. Each such payment amounts to 10,000 UAH, and in total this concerns support for 16 newborns: 11 girls and 5 boys.
Over the nine months of 2026, 86 applications for a birth grant have been submitted to the city council. Support is being requested for 86 children, including 36 boys and 50 girls. The total amount of payments accrued from the budget of the Truskavets community is 860,000 UAH.
The targeted one-off cash assistance for families with newborn children is provided under the Programme for Social Support of Families with Newborn Children in the Truskavets City Territorial Community “Care for the Future”. The programme was developed at the initiative of the Mayor, Andriy Kulchynskyi, and adopted by the Truskavets City Council in February 2025.
Parents of children born after 1 January 2025 are entitled to receive the payment, provided that they meet the specified criteria. The assistance is granted on the application of one of the parents if:
- the applicant is a resident of the community, registered and actually living with their family in the Truskavets community for at least 12 months prior to the child’s birth; or
- the applicant is an internally displaced person, is registered as an IDP and has been living in the community for at least 12 months prior to the child’s birth.
An application for the grant may be submitted within 12 months of the child’s birth. A mandatory condition is that the place of residence of the newborn child must be registered in the Truskavets City Territorial Community, and for IDPs, that the child is registered as an internally displaced person at the actual place of residence of the parents in the community.
The amount of the targeted one-off assistance is 10,000 UAH per newborn child.
To receive the payment, one of the parents must personally submit through the Administrative Services Centre (TsNAP) to the Department of Social Protection and Healthcare of the Truskavets City Council an application and the following documents:
- a copy of the applicant’s identity document (Ukrainian citizen’s passport or ID card) and a copy of the tax identification number;
- a copy of the child’s birth certificate;
- documents confirming registration of the applicant’s and the child’s place of residence in the community (extracts from the territorial community register) or, for IDPs, a copy of the certificate confirming registration as an internally displaced person;
- a certificate confirming the family’s actual place of residence;
- a bank certificate with the account details for the transfer of funds.
Copies of documents must be submitted together with the originals for verification of their accuracy.
