In the Yavoriv community, on the eve of the new school year, funds were allocated from the budget of the Yavoriv City Council to purchase stationery and school supplies for children from priority categories. The aim of the programme is to provide pupils with the essentials for their studies and to reduce the financial burden on families.
For 72 children from families of fallen and deceased, missing and captured Defenders of Ukraine, cash vouchers worth 2,000 UAH were provided for the purchase of stationery. This part of the programme was implemented through the War Veterans Support Centre of the Yavoriv City Council.
For a further 22 orphans and children deprived of parental care, 4,000 UAH was allocated for each child to purchase stationery and school supplies. This assistance is being delivered by the Education Department of the Yavoriv City Council.
In addition, 28 children who have found themselves in difficult life circumstances received support for the purchase of essential school supplies. This part of the programme is being implemented by the Children's Services of the Yavoriv City Council.
All these measures share a common goal: to help children start the school year with a full set of necessary items. The Yavoriv community emphasises that such support for families ahead of the start of the school year has been provided for several years now.
