Students of the Novoyavorivsk community participated in airsoft competitions as part of the ‘Ukraine Defense’ course.
Teams from 10th to 11th grades from nine schools competed with the support of the IBIS Weapons and Hunting company and the ‘Martial Arts Academy’ NGO. The event was coordinated by Oleksandr Nikonenko. The winners were the teams from the Novoyavorivsk Lyceum, who took first and second places, while the Starytskyi School named after Yuriy Kostiv secured third place.
Individual victories were claimed by Anna Kubai among girls and Taras Balabanovych among boys. ‘Such events are important for students as they enhance practical skills, team spirit, and readiness to act in various life situations,’ stated Deputy Mayor Volodymyr Synenskyi.
Representatives of the ‘IBIS’ company conducted a presentation for teachers, community leaders, police officers, and military personnel, familiarizing them with weapon types and educational materials. Mayor Volodymyr Matselyukh thanked the ‘IBIS’ team and the director of ‘Europe Arm Sport’ LLC Romas Grunskis for organizing the event. Further cooperation is planned to improve training and prepare young people for today’s challenges.
