The Ukrainian government has decided to raise salaries for teachers and social workers from the beginning of 2026.
According to the legislation, there will be a phased increase in salaries in 2026. Starting from January, teachers’ salaries will rise by 30%, with a possible additional 20% increase planned for September. **Salaries for social workers** will increase 2.5 times, amounting to almost 150%. Funding will be provided through an educational subsidy.
The increase will also affect employees of preschool and extracurricular institutions funded by local budgets. In the field of social protection, salary changes will be implemented based on separate Cabinet resolutions that establish new salary levels and bonuses.
